Seems Nibbles was more cooperative with this one, all 9 pics are working fine here.

Where do you guys keep finding the huayras? I can't seem to get them anywhere.

Patience, friend. Keep looking.
Sooner or later, you'll find it.
Then again, when I was looking, I found a few of them.

I've seen a number of both silver and deep red here in South Carolina. They all have messy paint though, so I waited a while before I finally picked up a silver one. I think it might become my first attempt at a fully stripped down custom. It looks kind of bland as-is.

Thats a great idea! Hadn't thought about stripping it and custom painting it.

My one and only custom so far is a detailed Land Rover Defender I just picked up. It's a yellow one, and I did all kinds of details on top of the stock paint; full roof rack, ladder, snorkel, all the lights, and I blacked out the wheels. Then I sprayed it with Testors Dullcote and I love it!
I think the Huayra will be my first full mod though. Check out

and search for "customs." There are some brilliant guys that post on there.

Is the defender the Matchbox one? I was tempted yesterday to pick it up at CVS but something irks me about paying more than the 97 cents that they cost everywhere else.
I'll check out the site!

Yes, sorry. The yellow Matchbox one. I found it at Walmart. Crazy thing is it's the same casting as the $4.97 version on the next peg over; that one is orange, has different graphics, and a little collectors box, I guess. Anyway, lots of detail on the casting. For me, it was basically a test to see how detailed I could paint it. Once I finish the diorama I'm doing I'll take some pics and maybe get them posted on here.

I drilled into my first car last night. Disassembled my silver Huayra and a jeep. They're currently soaking in Simple Green. I hope it works!

Good luck! I might try it this tonight too.
